How We Work

For trees with enough clear space, we fell in a single cut and work the tree up on the ground. When a tree is close to a building, power line, or fence, we work in sections from the top down, removing the tree in pieces that can be controlled and lowered safely.

Once the tree is down, we limb it out and either chip the brush or cut the trunk into sections depending on what you want to do with the wood. We can leave firewood-length rounds for you to split, chip everything for mulch, or haul the material off-site if you need the area cleared entirely.

 

Stump Removal

Tree removal leaves a stump. We can grind stumps flush with the ground or below grade depending on what you are doing with the area afterward. If you are planning to seed over the spot, grind it low and fill with loam. If you just need it out of the way of mowing, flush is fine.

 

Dead and Hazard Trees

Dead trees in Maine tend to deteriorate faster than people expect. A standing dead softwood can become brittle and unpredictable within a season or two of dying. Trees with significant lean toward a building or a frequently used area should be addressed before the next wind event makes the decision for you.
